Datamere are working with TMA to provide DCC access for their supplier customers
With DCC go live confirmed as November 2017 for independent suppliers, Datamere Software are developing their own interface for GENUS©, communicating with the CGI Adaptor procured by TMA Data Services. The Shared Services Solution offered by TMA offers GENUS© users a fully comprehensive, cost effective, managed route to communicate with the DCC.
The Shared Services Solution offered by TMA allows Datamere's customers a fully comprehensive, cost effective, managed route to communicate with the DCC. The Shared Services agreement has been specifically developed for the smaller, independent supplier network and assists them with connecting to the new DCC infrastructure relating to Smart Metering.
In order to operate Smart Meters and therefore comply with the new legislation, suppliers have to connect to the infrastructure provided by the Data Communications Company (DCC). This requires significant capital investment, often challenging to independent market participants who may be in the early stages of developing their supply business. Shared Services allows TMA to host and operate the entire range of DCC services on behalf of the Suppliers, without them having to make significant investment. The agreement also includes TMA undertaking User Entry Process Testing (UEPT) on behalf of users.
“In order to identify the best solution for DCC readiness, we undertook extensive research to find the best turn key solution available for our clients. The flexibility of the Shared Services agreement from TMA allows our clients to either use a managed service for the communication or alternatively use the interface directly from GENUS©”
