United Gas & Power, one of the fastest growing energy supply companies in the UK, have become the latest supplier to contract with Wilmslow based, Datamere Software to use GENUS© as their energy software management platform. United Gas & Power, who are UK based in Leeds have also chosen Datamere’s sister company, The Energy Support Bureau, to handle their back office services for the foreseeable future.
GENUS© is the most up advanced and intuitive energy software system available from Datamere. Currently undergoing a phased release, it offers energy suppliers a full end to end supply management system for gas and power.
“There’s a huge demand in the energy supply business for a comprehensive dual fuel software package” said Simon Slater MD at Datamere, “and with our vison and strategy we are confident that GENUS© meets that demand. United Gas & Power are a great example of a rapidly growing, independent energy supplier making waves in the energy market and we are delighted that they have chosen Datamere to help them fulfil their objectives.”
Ross Taylor, Director at United Gas and Power agrees, “We understand the difficulties that businesses face because we face them ourselves! You don’t want to be worrying about your energy bills and whether or not you are being charged the best rates for your supply. We offer competitive pricing and more importantly, tariffs that are uniquely designed for the end user. That’s where GENUS© is having a really positive impact on our business; the instant quote functionality allows us to do just that. We reviewed a range of options before we chose Datamere as our software provider but felt that Datamere were a good match for UGP; the software is proving to be every bit as efficient as we hoped and we get a great level of support from the team there.”
United Gas & Power have also chosen the managed services option offered by the Energy Support Bureau designed to assist suppliers with the administrative processes associated with the gas industry. This service is available to all suppliers but is especially popular with new suppliers that may require some support in order to get firmly established and up to speed with the various industry protocols.
