We are a software development house specialising in the utility sector and we are looking for a candidate to support our Project Manager and Development Team. We have numerous projects running within our business and are looking for support to assist with the many tasks such a role produces to include version testing, documentation, client meetings, planning and other tasks. Having more recently moved into electricity software development, ideally, we are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of power market flows and how these operate at supplier and industry level.
Additionally, our back-office support team whom offer a range of services to suppliers will also require some admin support in conjunction with industry flows. While we are experienced within gas, we plan to introduce a similar service for electricity for which we will require some guidance. Tasks do vary but include; answering and directing phone calls within the business, logging support issues and updating suppliers, contacting end user customer and working on industry flows.
The role will be varied and we require someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who is quick to learn and happy to support the team with whichever tasks are required. We use a number of bespoke systems and databases so you must be IT literate and confident using all aspects of Office and be a quick learner. While you won’t have experience of our in-house database you should be experienced in handling industry flows and protocols.
You must be an excellent communicator and administrator, bridging the gap between our development team and supplier clients. You won’t be afraid to pick up the phone, be happy to jump in and help with all tasks while being professional at all times.
In order to successfully fill this role, you must have the following:
- Good interpersonal skills with a confident telephone manner
- Excellent administrative skills with accuracy being a must.
- Strong experience of the power industry with an understanding of industry processes and flows
- The ability to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail second to none
- Be flexible when needed to support your colleagues and the business
The role is initially offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday 9-5.30 pm with an hour’s break for lunch.
